Stacey Champion, Owner/Consultant:

Ms. Champion is a superb indoor air/environmental quality professional who is passionate about improving people's lives by improving their live/work spaces.

A published writer and well respected within the indoor air quality (IAQ) industry; Stacey became heavily involved with IAQ when her family bought what they would later discover was a “sick house” in 2002.  She has been interested in “healthy living” and green building for as long as she can remember which made her “path” apparent to her.

The people brought in to “remediate” the problems in the Champion’s home were unqualified, and as a direct result, the family was out of their home for 8 months. In those long 8 months, Stacey learned the very important lesson of “no one having your best interest more at heart than you do,” and launched herself into the Indoor Air/Environmental Quality arena to help save her family’s home and health. Meeting with experts, attending training seminars and conferences, testifying before Senate committees, and more; Stacey soon came to the realization that there were many people in similar situations, and not enough competent professionals to help.

As a conscientious human being, how could she not take her hard-won knowledge and utilize it to help others?

After running the Indoor Division of a local environmental company, Ms. Champion saw the need to start a diversified indoor air/environmental quality company which had a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and problem solving with regard to indoor air and environmental quality. Champion Indoor Environmental Services was born!

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she also resided in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Maui, prior to moving to Arizona in 1998.  In her previous lives she has worked as a freelance writer, the creative director of a theatre, a counselor/coordinator for a teenage group home, and has dabbled in public relations, television casting, and advertising.  She has always been actively involved in fundraising for many charities.

Ms. Champion has been nominated as a “Diva Visionary” and was awarded an Entrepreneurial Excellence Award under the “Innovator” category by the Sedona Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), for which she previously served as the Program Chair.

Her  favorite quote by Mahatma Gandhi is: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

When she is not consumed by her passion, Stacey can be found frolicking with her children Zoe & Zane, listening to her daughter Leah's tales of college adventures, hiking, welding functional art, writing poetry and her book in progress, or laughing with friends.

Stacey also hosts a monthly green social/networking event - Rogue Green- which is held the 1st Thursday of every month in the metro Phoenix area.
